A new record for the Romanian pigeonsport: 53 pigeons clocked in 53 seconds

It was Mr. Simion Emil from Bucharest and his pigeons who won this victory during the first race of the season with young birds. On 23^rd of August 2009, the pigeons have been liberated from Predal, 120 km apart, and Mr. Simion clocked 53 birds in… 53 seconds. The most important thing is that he won the first 53 prizes! We have to admit this is a record in terms of pigeonsport competitions.   

Further comments are useless. We would like to congratulate Mr. Simion Emil and Mr. Silviu Glodeanu (general manager of the loft) for such a beautiful performance!

Overall, 2.555 pigeons have been basketed for this race, coming from 54 lofts. The winning pigeon made an average velocity of 1414,8 m/min, while the last one from the group of 53 birds scored 1400,15 m/min.
